NxtWave Communications' NXT2000 Receiver Chip selected for Hauppauge Digital's PC HDTV Card

Receiver Chip to Power Consumer-based PC Add-in Card, Bringing DTV Functionality to the PC

LANGHORNE, Pa., Nov. 10, 2000 - NxtWave Communications Inc. (nxtwavecomm.com), a developer of broadband communications integrated circuits (ICs), Friday announced that Hauppauge Digital Inc. (Nasdaq:HAUP), the leading developer and manufacturer of digital video TV and data broadcast receiver products for personal computers, has chosen the NXT2000 VSB/QAM demodulator for its WinTV-HD product line.

The WinTV-HD PC DTV card receives off-air, terrestrial ATSC high definition digital TV signals, and is ready to receive in-the-clear digital cable programming when it is deployed by cable operators. The product, enhanced by the high-quality reception offered by the NXT2000, allows consumers to watch high definition television on a PC screen or an HDTV monitor, video conference and create high-quality still video images.
